Governor Helder Barbalho and Vice Governor Hana Ghassan are very proud to support this large group of over 100 athletes, who continue to carry the flag of Pará to the podiums. We are all together promoting and developing sports throughout the State, so that Pará continues to stand out nationally and internationally,” said the secretary.
Investment in Pará talent - Currently, over a thousand athletes have received support from the Government of Pará, through Seel, for participation in national and international competitions in different modalities. The program allows up to three support requests per athlete each year, with two for national competitions and one for international.
The financial incentive is mainly intended for travel, registration, and accommodation, ensuring that athletes can represent the State safely and peacefully.
“The Government's investment in these athletes and in sports is an investment in the future. These are professionals who proudly carry the flag of Pará across Brazil and the world. Our commitment is to continue encouraging and valuing these talents that inspire generations,” added Cássio Andrade.

Only in 2024, the Government of Pará allocated R$ 4.7 million in support to 1,365 athletes, enabling the realization of dreams and strengthening the presence of Pará sports in high-performance competitions in Brazil and other countries.
