Cosanpa distributes 45 thousand Bolonha water cups to the pilgrims of the procession
The action has mobilized the company's employees since 2019. Nearly 200 thousand cups of water produced at Cosanpa's treatment plant have already been donated.
It was still dawn when the employees of the Pará Sanitation Company (Cosanpa) arrived at the corner of Gaspar Viana and Presidente Vargas avenues. The sun had not yet risen, but the work was already beginning: organizing the boxes with Bolonha water, produced at the Bolonha Treatment Station, responsible for supplying about 70% of Belém and Ananindeua. It was the start of another day of faith and solidarity during the Círio de Nazaré 2025.
Leading the mobilization was the manager of the Labor Relations Unit (UERT), Adriana Muniz, who highlighted the involvement of employees in the action.
“Those who volunteered are very participative. Everyone comes with an open heart to serve, and serving is the word we carry in our hearts. It is very gratifying to see this engagement and to have Cosanpa giving us the opportunity to live this moment,” she stated.
On Sunday (12), about 40 employees volunteered to donate water to the pilgrims. Among them was engineer Liane Rodrigues, who has participated in the action since 2019, the year Cosanpa began involving its employees in the distribution of Bolonha water during the processions. Since then, nearly 200 thousand cups have been donated.
For Liane, the experience goes far beyond work.
“It is a moment of great faith and unity. We represent the company, but also the love we have for Our Lady. It is moving to participate with colleagues and feel this energy of devotion. Distributing our quality water is an act of love for others,” she shared emotionally.
Solidarity - The feeling of solidarity even infected those who are not part of the Company. Seller Sávio Cruz, who passed by and saw the volunteers' movement, made a point of joining the team.
“I was moved. This is a moment of gratitude, of helping others. The Círio is that: love and prosperity. Seeing the Cosanpa staff there, with joy, inspired me to participate too,” he reported.
This year, Cosanpa distributed 45 thousand cups of water at the two main processions of the Círio: the Traslado to Ananindeua on Friday (10), and the grand procession on Sunday in Belém. The action was organized by the Human Resources and Logistics Management departments, which coordinated the entire operation, from the transportation and storage of the water to supporting the volunteers.
According to Adriana Muniz, the dedication of the teams was essential for the success of the action.
“It was really an intense operation. We have been involved for three days, taking care of logistics, truck transportation, ice, and water. It is hard work, but it is rewarding. With each cup distributed, we feel it was worth it,” she emphasized.
