Sefa seizes copper cables and optical cables in Cachoeira do Piriá

At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) of Gurupi, located in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, bordering Pará with Maranhão, state tax inspectors seized, on this Monday (13), a cargo of copper cables valued at R$ 2,182,531.

“A shipment of copper cables was seized during the inspection in Gurupi. The cargo, which left Vila Velha (ES) destined for Ananindeua (PA), was retained after the analysis of the tax documents. The officials found that the Differential Rate of ICMS (Difal), charged on interstate operations, was not fully paid. The correct amount of Difal is R$ 188,613.79, and the company collected R$ 152,777.79, leaving R$ 35,836.00 unpaid,” reported the coordinator, Gustavo Bozola.

A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 50,171.27, charging ICMS and fine, which was paid and the goods released.

Optical cables - Also at the tax unit of Gurupi, but on Sunday (12), 188,000 meters of optical cables were seized, with underpayment of tax. The truck transporter from Marechal Deodoro (AL) destined for Belém (PA) presented tax documents and the officials verified that the invoice had underpayment of the Differential Rate (Difal). The value of the goods is R$ 432,423.00, and a Seizure Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 9,940.42.

Rugs and dishcloths without an invoice hidden among electrical materials – Also on Sunday (12), a truck from the state of Paraíba (PB) destined for some cities in Pará was stopped by the inspection and during the physical verification of the goods, rugs and dishcloths without an invoice were found, hidden among electrical materials.

The goods were valued at R$ 36,900.00 and a TAD was drawn up in the amount of R$ 12,619.80.
