Casa da Linguagem holds Casa Fair with workshop results
This Sunday’s program includes music, literature, visual arts, gastronomy, and thrift stores; the event aims to encourage artistic production and access to art in the capital
The Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP), through the Directorate of Cultural Workshops, will promote another edition of the Casa Fair at Casa da Linguagem in Belém, next Sunday (19), from 9 AM to 2 PM, with free admission. The program includes the presentation of results from the workshops held from October 14 to 19, featuring instructors Roberta Tavares, Rodrigo Riviera, Telma Monteiro, and Danielle Fonseca.
There will also be demonstrations of the work developed in verbal language. In the Music area, masters Arythanan Figueiredo (percussion) and Careca Braga (guitar) will present the results of their workshops with the students.
The literary space will feature Professor Janete Borges at the Francisco Paulo Mendes Library, which will be transformed into a children's area for storytelling. Meanwhile, the bandstand at Max Martins Square will host literary performances with the students from Casa, and the “open space” will offer the public the opportunity to do readings or present original works.
The Casa Fair will also host a variety of creative economy activities, where the public will find thrift store items, handicrafts, gallery exhibitions, and a space dedicated to gastronomy.
This initiative reinforces the mission of Casa da Linguagem, which, in its 34 years of existence, has established itself as a place of access and reference for art in various dimensions. The proposed actions seek dialogue between words and other artistic modalities, with the purpose of promoting visibility, knowledge, and interest in reading, visual and musical arts, encouraging the production of art and culture.
