State prepares delivery of the 18th Usina da Paz in Pará, in São Miguel do Guamá
The unit will be the second in the Guamá Region and will offer 70 free services in health, education, sports, culture, leisure, and professional qualification, among others

Residents of São Miguel do Guamá, in northeastern Pará, are eagerly awaiting the inauguration of the new Usina da Paz, which will be delivered by the State Government this Friday (24). The new space is part of the public policy of the Territórios pela Paz (TerPaz) program and arrives in the municipality to become a new reference in guaranteeing citizenship, opportunities, and social inclusion for thousands of families, in addition to being a gift for the 152nd anniversary of the city's founding, celebrated on October 30.
The Usina da Paz São Miguel do Guamá will be the 18th delivered in Pará, the second in the Guamá Integration Region, which already has a unit in the city of Castanhal. Like the other units already in operation, the space will gather, in one place, more than 70 free services in health, education, sports, culture, leisure, and professional qualification, as well as activities focused on sustainability and entrepreneurship.

For the residents of the municipality, the arrival of the Usina da Paz represents gratitude and hope for a future with more opportunities, as stated by Vilma Silva, a resident of the São Miguel Arcanjo neighborhood. "We are already living a great joy because the Usina will bring various developments to our community, especially for children and youth. Several cities have already been benefited with the Usinas, and today we will be able to realize the dream of having this unique opportunity. I thank and congratulate the State Government. We are looking forward to the inauguration and everything that lies ahead," said the resident.
Structure and services - Located on Rua Sapucaia, in the Jardim América neighborhood, the Usina da Paz São Miguel do Guamá has a modern and accessible structure that will benefit around 55,000 residents of the city.

The complex consists of two main buildings, Assistance and Usina, with rooms equipped for medical and dental care, document issuance, vocational courses, and social assistance. There are also spaces for sports activities, such as a multipurpose gym, swimming pool, and open court, as well as dance rooms, libraries, computer rooms, music, studies, and gastronomy, a multicultural square, a sewage treatment station, among others.
The construction of the complex began in August 2023. The project was carried out through a partnership between the Government of Pará and the company Vale. "The delivery of the Usina da Paz in São Miguel do Guamá represents another important step in consolidating a project that has transformed the lives of thousands of Pará residents. Each new unit is a space of opportunities, learning, and hope. Here, people will find quality public services, support, and pathways to a better future. São Miguel do Guamá will now be able to count on this great factory of citizenship and development that is changing Pará," highlighted the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.
