The Attorney General's Office provides on its institutional website topics on diversity, equity, and social inclusion

The Attorney General's Office (PGE) has launched a new tab on its official website dedicated to the themes of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The initiative is from the institution's Diversity and Inclusion Committee and aims to gather, in one space, the state legislation related to these themes, facilitating access to information and strengthening the treatment of these issues in the legal and social spheres.

According to the state attorney and committee member, Ibraim Rocha, the new tool represents a step forward in democratizing knowledge on the subject. "The space on the website will allow for greater agility in accessing the norms related to the subject, enabling greater democracy and debate for its effectiveness," he highlighted.

The new section was designed to serve specialized audiences, such as: lawyers, prosecutors, defenders, judges, and students, as well as society. "The available information is of interest to both the technical audience and the general public, who will be able to quickly consult content of broad scope and quality. The innovation lies in the quick consultation and the broad scope and quality of the topic," the attorney added.

Committee – The PGE's Diversity and Inclusion Committee was created after the institution's adherence, in January of this year, to the Interinstitutional Pact for Racial Equity, coordinated by the State Court of Accounts (TCE-PA) to promote actions that foster equity in Pará, through collaboration among the participating institutions, and after the PGE's participation in the Permanent Diversity Forum of the Council of Attorneys General of the States and the Federal District (DF).

"The committee's role is to discuss and propose actions for racial equity, gender diversity, and other measures that promote equity within the Attorney General's Office," explained Ibraim Rocha.

In August of this year, the PGE launched August as the "Month of Racial Literacy," during an event held at the institution's headquarters in Belém. The Month of Racial Literacy was proposed by the PGE through Law No. 11.139/2025, with the aim of encouraging the ongoing formation of a critical culture regarding racial issues and combating structural racism.

Guide – Among the group's upcoming actions is the publication of a guide on racial literacy, which will be released soon.

"The Committee meets monthly and is engaged in intense work. The next step will be the publication of a guide on racial literacy and its dissemination," Ibraim revealed.

With the new tab and the committee's future initiatives, the PGE reinforces its institutional commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity in public service and in Pará society.
