Sefa seizes 32 tons of cashew nuts in Cachoeira do Piriá
At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, inspectors also seized thermal-acoustic housing modules
At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Gurupi of the State Department of Finance (Sefa), in Cachoeira do Piriá, a municipality in northeastern Pará, 32 tons of cashew nuts were seized this Thursday (23).
“Drivers of two vehicles arrived at the tax post and presented invoices for 18 and 14 tons of cashew nuts, respectively, originating from Capitão Poço (PA) and destined for Serra do Mel (RN). Upon analyzing the invoices, it was identified that the value was well below the value established by the Minimum Price Bulletin, according to Sefa Ordinance 354/2005, and thus a lower ICMS amount to be collected was calculated,” reported coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
The value of the goods was readjusted to R$ 159,680.00, and two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up, totaling R$ 34,490.88.
Housing modules - State revenue inspectors also seized two thermal-acoustic housing modules, valued at R$ 74,781.37, this Thursday (23). The seizure occurred at the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, in the southeast of the State.
“During an inspection at the tax post of Jarbas Passarinho, at KM-120 of the Transamazon Highway (BR-230), a truck transporting goods from the municipality of Mirassol (SP) to Goianésia do Pará (PA) was stopped. After document analysis and consultations with electronic tax document control systems, it was found that the taxpayer failed to collect the ICMS corresponding to the difference between the internal and interstate rates, known as the Differential Rate (Difal), which is due in interstate operations destined for final consumers who are not taxpayers, as determined by current legislation,” informed state revenue inspector Cicinato Oliveira.
A Term of Seizure and Deposit was drawn up, amounting to R$ 15,510.22, charging ICMS and fines.
