Codec accompanies the implementation of strategic projects in the Industrial District of Marabá
The delegation from the Company toured the industrial hub, assessed the level of business occupancy, identified reorganization needs, and reinforced the institutional presence of the State
The field presence reaffirms Codec's institutional role in strengthening the regional productive environment. On Tuesday (28), the Company began a technical diagnosis in the Industrial District of Marabá, in southeastern Pará, aligning planning, expansion, and direct monitoring of the companies that are part of the hub, both those already operating and those in the implementation phase.
The Industrial District is structured in two phases: Phase I, already consolidated and with all areas occupied; and Phase II, which encompasses 592.97 hectares, currently in the territorial organization stage coordinated by Codec, with an emphasis on preparing the space for future industrial installations, in an orderly manner and in line with the development planning of the hub.
State Proximity - The first day of the agenda included a technical inspection throughout the District, as well as a technical and institutional visit to the company Tecnored, a strategic project linked to Vale and in an advanced stage of implementation. The delegation was received by the Implementation Manager, Ezequiel da Silva, who emphasized the importance of the State's close involvement in monitoring structuring enterprises.
Regarding the Company's role, Ezequiel stated that "this direct monitoring by Codec gives us institutional security to proceed with the implementation, because it demonstrates that the State is present and committed to those investing here. This technical integration facilitates planning and creates a favorable environment for the project to advance with predictability."
Institutional Visits - The agenda continued on Wednesday (29), with Codec expanding its monitoring of companies already installed and in the implementation phase, through an institutional visit to Sinobras and a technical visit to the Novo Ciclo Ambiental Pará Plant.
The institutional visit to Sinobras, one of the main industrial anchors of the hub and a beneficiary of state incentives, strengthened the Company's connection with the already established productive sector. The delegation was received by the Sustainability Manager, Junimara Chaves, who reinforced the importance of direct dialogue with the State. During the meeting, Junimara highlighted that "this proximity with Codec is very important for us because it strengthens the dialogue with the State and demonstrates that there is real monitoring of those who already produce and generate jobs. When the public power is present, listening to demands and monitoring the productive environment, we gain more security to maintain and expand investments."
Subsequently, there was a technical visit to Ciclo, a project in the initial phase of implementation, where the team monitored the stage of the works and assessed the structural conditions necessary for the future operation of the production unit.
During the inspection of the industrial park, spaces with different uses than originally planned for the industrial area were also identified, as well as points that require physical and occupational reorganization. These situations will undergo direct technical monitoring, ensuring that the territory remains aligned with its productive vocation and ready to receive new investments.
Territorial Governance - For Codec's Technical Director, Ruy Klautau de Mendonça, the on-site action reinforces the institutional responsibility of the State in industrial governance. Evaluating the agenda, Ruy Klautau emphasized that the Industrial District of Marabá is one of Pará's main productive assets, and fieldwork is essential to ensure that the territory remains organized and ready to receive new investments. Territorial governance is what guarantees stability, predictability, and industrial competitiveness, and Codec is fulfilling this role here.
The technical stage precedes other institutional meetings that will expand alignment with local public authorities and enable new phases of expansion and strengthening of the industrial hub of Marabá.
