The government of Pará is advancing in the modernization of public transport in the Metropolitan Region of Belém with the launch of the ticketing system "Pra Já", exclusive to the Metropolitan BRT, which will be inaugurated this Friday (31). The initiative reinforces the capital's preparation to host the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30) and marks a new stage in urban mobility, with more practicality, technology, and accessibility for passengers traveling between Santa Izabel do Pará, Santa Bárbara do Pará, Benevides, Marituba, Ananindeua, and Belém.

Developed by the company Autopass, the "Pra Já" system offers three options for accessing transport: the digital ticket (QR Code), purchased via Pix in the Pra Já Metropolitano app; the physical ticket, bought with cash at the BRT ticket offices; and the physical Pra Já card, rechargeable through the app and at the BRT terminals at the stations.

With the implementation, the expectation is to reach 3.8 million monthly transactions, boosting the local economy and generating more than 150 direct job openings, including ticket sellers, operators, and support technicians. The system will have 419 validators installed in 265 buses, 32 stations, and two terminals of the Metropolitan BRT.

The "Pra Já" ticketing system is exclusive to the Metropolitan BRT, with no integration with the card currently used in the transport of Belém and neighboring municipalities.
