The event brings together athletes from different municipalities in Pará and runs until this Sunday (2), when the champion of the Efficiency Trophy will be defined.

In this edition, 890 athletes from 13 municipalities participate in the competitions: Mãe do Rio, Castanhal, Curuçá, São Francisco, Vigia, Salinópolis, Bragança, Maracanã, São Domingos do Capim, Santa Izabel, Colares, Benevides, and Marituba, competing in basketball, handball, futsal, beach soccer, volleyball, and table tennis.

The regional champions secure a spot to represent their municipalities in the state stage of Joapa, scheduled for December in Belém.

The State Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, highlighted the importance of the competition as one of the main sports public policies of the government of Pará. "Joapa is a great celebration of amateur sports in Pará. It energizes the municipalities, encourages sports practice, and promotes social integration among young people and adults from all regions. In addition to revealing talents, Joapa strengthens the role of sports as a tool for inclusion, citizenship, and development for our State," said the secretary.
