Peace Factories in Belém will have special operation during COP 30
The goal is to ensure that the State Government's complexes continue to serve the communities during the internationally significant events.
The Peace Factories located in Belém will have changes in their operating hours and schedules starting this Thursday (6), due to the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) and the Climate Summit.
The purpose of the changes is to ensure that the State Government's citizenship complexes continue to serve the communities during the internationally significant events, which require organizational actions to ensure urban mobility and safety in the capital of Pará.
Climate Summit – On November 6 and 7, during the Climate Summit, the seven Peace Factories located in the Metropolitan Region of Belém (Jurunas/Condor, Guamá, Bengui, Cabanagem, Terra Firme, Icuí-Guajará, in Ananindeua, and Nova União, in Marituba) will not operate, due to the optional holiday established by State Decree No. 5,015, of November 4, 2025.
The other Peace Factories, located in the municipalities of the interior of the State, will operate normally, according to the schedules of each unit.
COP30 – The operation of the factories located in Belém will also have changes between November 10 and 21, during the COP30 period.
During this period, the Peace Factories Cabanagem, Bengui, Guamá, and Terra Firme will remain open to the public, offering cooking, sewing and fashion, and technology courses, promoted by the Secretary of Science, Technology and Higher, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet). The sports gyms of the units will also be available for community use, as well as the outdoor areas of the complexes, according to the organization established by the managers of each unit.
The Peace Factory Jurunas/Condor, also in the capital, will be closed to the public until November 21. The space of the complex is being used for the setup of a field hospital, which will reinforce health care during the international event.
The factories in Ananindeua, Marituba, and other municipalities in the interior of the State will remain open and operating normally, according to local schedules.
“COP30 is a historic moment for Pará and Brazil, and the Peace Factories are part of this process of social and environmental transformation. We are adapting our programs to ensure that the population continues to be served and, at the same time, participates in this great event safely and organized,” said the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.
