Social assistance rights, higher education, infrastructure and logistics, health, public safety, environment, and human rights were some of the topics addressed in the workshops
The State Secretariat for Planning and Administration (Seplad) concluded, this Wednesday (5), the second Cycle of Quarterly Workshops for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Programs of the Multiannual Plan (PPA) 2024-2027, concerning the 2025 Exercise. A total of 14 workshops were held, both in-person and virtual, organized by thematic axes, with the participation of more than 60 executing agencies.
The last meeting, held virtually, had as its central theme Public Governance, and was attended by more than 40 civil servants from agencies such as the Technology and Communication Company of the State of Pará (Prodepa), State Secretariat of Finance (Sefa), General Ombudsman of the State, Military House, Court of Accounts of the State of Pará (TCE), and the State Secretariat of Science, Technology, Higher Education, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet).
The objective of the workshops was to obtain an overall view of the performance of public agencies and to strengthen, in a multisectoral and transversal manner, the monitoring and verification of the results of the programs in the quadrimester, with an emphasis on the closure of the current exercise. For this, physical, financial, and qualitative information recorded in the Integrated Planning System of the State of Pará (Sigplan) was used, enabling the identification of possible obstacles and the adoption of timely measures to ensure the achievement of the expected results.
“The monitoring workshops are of great importance in the management and planning process of the State, as they are moments when Seplad can analyze the actions being executed by state agencies. By understanding the difficulties and the need for adjustments in planning processes, we ensure that public policies truly benefit the population,” emphasized Socorro Castro, director of Strategic Planning at Seplad.
Content - The topics addressed in the workshops included social assistance rights, higher education, infrastructure and logistics, sports and leisure, health, public safety, environment, citizenship, justice, and human rights, among others.
“The monitoring workshops are of utmost importance, as they not only track physical and financial goals but also guide us on possible course adjustments, identifying what is right, what needs to be corrected, and redirecting what was planned. They also contribute to public transparency, allowing society to follow what is being done. Furthermore, the integrated nature of the workshops, bringing together all public safety agencies, promotes valuable collective learning,” highlighted Lieutenant Colonel Kátia Chaves from the Military Police – 6th Section of the General Staff.
The Budget Coordinator of the State Secretariat of Public Health (Sespa), Millene Lobato, also emphasized the importance of the workshops for improving the execution of actions in Sigplan. “These workshops are essential for evaluating our performance and how we have executed and fed the System. They allow us to reflect on the necessary adjustments for the next quadrimester and the next exercise, contributing to the improvement of our future projections and executions,” reinforced Millene Lobato.
Transformation - The Multiannual Plan (PPA) is the main planning instrument of the Government, aimed at promoting development with sustainability, social inclusion, and economic growth. It is structured in programs and actions that seek to transform the reality of the State in the coming years.
The Cycle of Workshops reaffirms the commitment of the Government of Pará to transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness in the execution of public programs, ensuring that resources are used in a planned and directed manner to achieve concrete results.
