At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), in the southeast of the State, 623 m² of white granite tiles, valued at R$ 175,259.70, were seized on Monday (11).

The seizure occurred at the fiscal post at km 9 of the Transamazon Highway in Marabá, where a truck transporting goods from the municipality of Santa Quitéria/CE, destined for Santarém/PA, was intercepted.

“After document analysis and consultations with the systems for controlling tax documents and Sefa, it was found that the taxpayer failed to collect the ICMS corresponding to the difference between the internal and interstate rates (Difal), related to the operation intended for the final consumer who is not a taxpayer, as determined by current legislation,” explained coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.

To collect ICMS and fines, the Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 21,349.93.
