The Government of Pará delivered 1,284 new free prescription glasses to residents of the Guamá neighborhood in Belém on Thursday (13). The action benefited people who participated in eye consultations and exams conducted during the 'Por Todas Elas' project on September 18 at the Foursquare Family Cathedral, a location that welcomed the beneficiaries again for the collection of the glasses.

Since the early hours of the morning, hundreds of people eagerly awaited the delivery. The initiative is part of the State Government's effort to provide health services for free, reaching neighborhoods and communities in Belém and the interior of the State.

The Vice Governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan, emphasized the importance of the action and the care for the visual health of the population. "Ensuring free access to prescription glasses is offering dignity and quality of life, especially for those who need it most. Taking care of vision is taking care of the future of these people, allowing them to study, work, and live with more autonomy," she highlighted.

Housewife, Francineide Cardoso, 50 years old: "It’s a blessing to receive this care for free, and close to home," she said.

It’s a blessing to receive this care for free, close to home," she said, moved.

22 wheelchairs were also delivered to residents in vulnerable situations, reinforcing the inclusion and accessibility actions of the Government of Pará.

Created in 2024, the 'Por Todas Elas' program has already accounted for about 190,000 services throughout Pará, offering more than 30 types of free services in the areas of health, citizenship, and leisure. The main focus of the action is to serve and empower Pará women and their families, promoting social inclusion and strengthening women's participation in building a fairer society.

New Glasses - In addition to the consultations and services, the program has also ensured the production and delivery of more than 40,000 prescription glasses in various regions of the State.

Service - People who were unable to attend the delivery on Thursday (13) can collect the glasses directly at the Usina da Paz Guamá, located at Avenida Bernardo Sayão, No. 4783. It is necessary to present an official identification document to collect the glasses.
