The continuous work of repression, investments, and integration among security forces results in a significant drop in theft rates in Pará in October 2025. The most recent data released by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) confirms a reduction of 74.31% in theft occurrences when comparing October 2025 to October 2018.

The data analyzed by the Undersecretariat of Intelligence and Criminal Analysis (Siac), linked to Segup, indicates that October of this year ended with 2,146 theft cases, recording the best result for the month of October in the historical line tracked since 2010. Another important achievement is reaching, in October 2025, the lowest rate ever recorded by Pará in the theft indicator.

The State Secretary for Public Security and Social Defense, Ualame Machado, analyzes the advancement of public safety in the theft indicator, which according to him directly contributes to a safer social environment and increased public trust in public safety.

Intelligence and Integration - Ualame Machado states that "the data for October 2025 confirms a historic inflection: with a total of 2,146 theft occurrences, we not only established the lowest level for this month since 2010, but we also achieved the lowest absolute record of thefts in the entire historical series monitored by Pará. This advancement is not a matter of chance. It is the direct result of intelligence, operational integration, and the daily sacrifice of our police officers. We dedicate this success to the population that trusts our work."

"Safety is a continuous construction. We will remain firm, using technology and strategy to ensure that the downward trend consolidates, ensuring that every resident of Pará can live with more tranquility. The safety of our people is our greatest achievement," emphasizes the secretary.

Another important historical mark is the percentage of 74.31% reduction, compared to October 2018, which closed with 8,355 thefts, showing a difference of 6,209 fewer crimes this year. In relation to last year, the reduction reached 30%, as in October 2024 there were 3,047 cases recorded. Compared to the months of October in 2023 and 2022, with 3,596 and 4,286 cases, respectively, the reductions are 40.32% (2023) and 50% (2022).

Cumulative - The period from January to October 2025 also shows significant reductions, according to a study by Siac. With 25,505 thefts, Pará continues its continuous reduction, year after year. Compared to October 2024, with 30,001 cases, the reduction is 15%. In comparison with 2023, which closed with 37,116 thefts in ten months, the reduction rises to 31.2%.

The largest reduction is also in relation to the cumulative total of 2018, when there were 90,941 thefts, three times the number recorded in 2025, resulting in a decrease of 71.95%.

Investments - In October of this year, the Government of Pará invested over R$ 50 million, expanding the fleet of the Security System agencies for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), held in Belém until November 21.

The investments total R$ 53,309,322.59, coming from the National Public Security Fund (FNSP) and the State Public Security Fund (Fesp), linked to Segup, as well as agreements with the Federal Government, established through Segup. Among the agencies benefiting from the new equipment are the Civil Police, Military Police, and State Scientific Police (PCEPA), as well as the Military Fire Brigade and Segup.
