At least 30,000 people visited the Pavilion Pará - Municipalities at COP30 this holiday for Black Consciousness Day (20). It was the largest attendance recorded in a single day since the event opened last Monday (17). The space was created by the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur), so that the municipalities of Pará can present the sustainability initiatives they carry out, as well as showcase their productive vocations and culture to visitors and participants of the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30).

The Governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, was at the Pavilion Pará - Municipalities and celebrated the presence of the large audience. "More than 30,000 people, just today, passed through the Pavilion of Pará - Municipalities with an absolutely correct decision to, in addition to the Green Zone, in addition to the Blue Zone, have a space for all municipalities to show the wealth, the culture of each of the cities. This was our concern that it should not only be Belém that could be known, but the entire State of Pará," he praised.

The head of the State Executive also thanked the partnership of the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Cities, for the realization of the event. Helder Barbalho visited the booth of the Ministry of Cities, where a land regularization program for communities in the municipality of Abaetetuba was taking place.

At the booth of the municipality of Vigia, Helder Barbalho received a personalized eco-bag with maritime letters designed by artist Moisés Guedes. Following that, the governor toured the pavilion in a "bicitaxi," a means of transportation characteristic of the city of Afuá, in the Marajó archipelago.

Vice Governor Hana Ghassan, who also coordinates the State Committee of COP30, also celebrated the success of the Pavilion Pará - Municipalities. "This is a great legacy. To be able to show Brazil and the world a little bit of each region of this state. Municipalities that are beautiful," she said.

The program of the municipalities' pavilion runs until Friday (21), from 2 PM to 9 PM. There are more than 80 participating municipalities and entry is free.
