Students and teachers of the Carlos Gomes Institute pay tribute to mothers with a recital
In the Ettore Bosio Room, students from the Musical Initiation classes and the Technical and Preparatory courses will present a special repertoire, accompanied by their instrument teachers.

The Musical Tuesdays Project, maintained by the Carlos Gomes State Institute (IECG) in Belém, will hold a special recital on May 6 at 6 PM to celebrate Mother's Day in the Ettore Bosio Room. The program, which is free of charge, will feature students from the Musical Initiation classes and the Technical and Preparatory courses, accompanied by their instrument teachers.

Students from the Musical Initiation classes of teacher Jeiza Barra have prepared a repertoire dedicated to mothers and will also present the pedagogical work developed throughout the semester. As the teacher informs, "the repertoire we have prepared starts with a very special sequence, with songs played on the recorder and sung in canon. The presentation will be the result of this choral singing and musical perception work."
Jeiza Barra also adds that "the students learned this past month how choral singing requires everyone to create a beautiful sound. We did different specific activities for that. They learned principles that will help them from the beginning of their journey as musicians, and they will show all this interaction as a sound group in the presentation that will honor the mothers." The program will also feature students from Instrument and Lyric Singing.
Experience - The Musical Tuesdays Project aims to provide students of the Carlos Gomes State Institute with stage experience from the beginning of their studies in Instrument and Singing, and to give visibility to the external community of the various courses and the work developed by IECG through the recitals of students and teachers of the institution.

According to professor Victor Dantas, coordinator of "Musical Tuesdays", "these presentations are very important for the students, as they provide the stage experience they need from the beginning of their musical life, foster audience formation, and allow interaction with teachers and professional musicians who are invited to perform."
The recitals, which are free of charge, take place on a Tuesday of the month, always at 6 PM, in the Ettore Bosio Room at the Carlos Gomes State Institute - Avenida Gentil Bittencourt, No. 909, Nazaré neighborhood, in Belém.
