The Military Police, through the 3rd Independent Company of Special Missions (3rd Cime), based in Paragominas, southeastern Pará, recovered on Sunday (4) a cargo of aluminum, valued at approximately R$ 800 thousand, which had been stolen on April 30 on the road between the municipalities of Paragominas and Ulianópolis.

Nine high-tension aluminum coils were found in the rural area of Ulianópolis

The operation began after the insurance company of the stolen vehicle provided tracking data, indicating the last location of the truck, in a dense forest area. During the searches, the police located the stolen material hidden among the vegetation, being moved with the help of a crane. As they approached, a woman tried to flee but was detained. At the same time, five men fled into the woods. One of them fired shots at the police unit, which reacted immediately.

In addition to the aluminum cargo, a white SW4 pickup truck, nine high-tension aluminum coils, two radios, a balaclava, a light bar, a patrol radio, explosive material (emulsion), two cell phones, and equipment used for moving the cargo were seized.

All the material and the two detainees were taken to the Civil Police Station of Ulianópolis. The company that owns the cargo sent a truck to the location to retrieve the materials.
