On this Thursday (08), students from the Traffic Education Multiplicator Course participated in an educational mobilization at km 7 of PA-483 (Alça Viária), as part of the Yellow May campaign actions. The activity was promoted by the Traffic Department of the State of Pará (DETRAN-PA) and had the support of the Highway Police Battalion (BPRv) and the State Traffic Council (CETRAN) of Marituba.

The action aimed to raise awareness among drivers and pedestrians about the importance of traffic safety. Educational approaches were carried out, with the distribution of informative materials and guidance on safe practices on the roads.

Yellow May is a campaign that seeks to raise awareness among the population about the importance of safer traffic. Throughout the month of May, educational actions are carried out to alert drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists about life-saving behaviors.

During the mobilization, the relevance of training multiplicators as a strategy for social transformation was highlighted. “When we talk about traffic, we cannot work solely on the premise of enforcement. Traffic involves engineering, but also a part that is super important, which is education. This course trains multiplicators who can now act in their units, in the police itself, carrying this knowledge forward.
Traffic education prepares both the citizen who is already a driver and the one who will still be, including children and adolescents. It advocates values such as respect, obedience, and discipline, with an approach focused on awareness and valuing life,” explained Lieutenant Colonel Glauco Mourão.

The active presence of the students, accompanied by BPRv agents and teams from DETRAN and CETRAN, reinforced the institutions' commitment to building a more humane and responsible traffic.
