The State Secretariat of Tourism of Pará (Setur) held the Cadastur Workshop in the municipality of Ponta de Pedras, located in the Marajó Archipelago, from May 5 to 9. The action aimed to train municipal managers and raise awareness among local entrepreneurs about the importance of registration in the system, expanding the formalization of the tourism sector in the region.

The training took place from May 5 to 7 in the Municipal Tourism Secretariat's room, aimed at local managers. On May 8 and 9, the Setur team conducted guiding visits and awareness-raising actions with the city's tourism enterprises, assisting in the initial registration process and the renewal of Cadastur certificates.

The initiative aims to increase the number of establishments formally registered on the Ministry of Tourism's platform, ensuring benefits such as greater visibility for businesses, access to credit lines with reduced interest rates from financial institutions, and participation in qualification and tourism promotion programs.

The Secretary of Tourism of Pará, Eduardo Costa, highlighted the importance of the action for strengthening tourism activities in the municipality. “We are bringing technical knowledge and encouraging the formalization of the tourism sector in all regions of the state. Cadastur is an essential tool to ensure that our entrepreneurs have access to public policies, financing, and support in promoting their services. In Ponta de Pedras, we take another step towards organized, qualified tourism that generates opportunities for the population.”

It was also discussed the opportunities that COP 30 brings to the region and how much the productive sector needs to regularize its enterprises, committing to the development of sustainable and structured tourism, as well as valuing local enterprises in all regions of Pará.
