Government of Pará donates equipment to Semma to strengthen environmental services in Belém
Materials were seized during Semas inspections and will now be used in pruning, maintenance of green areas, and urban sustainability actions
The State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (Semas) delivered various equipment to the Municipal Secretariat for the Environment (Semma) of Belém on this Monday (13).

The donation, directed to the City Hall of Belém, aims to support improvements in the city's infrastructure and the execution of essential activities related to environmental services carried out by Semma in the Metropolitan Region.
The materials will be used in activities such as pruning, maintenance of green areas, and other actions aimed at urban sustainability. The donation represents the reuse of goods seized during environmental inspections, reinforcing the efficiency of public resources.
Among the equipment are chainsaws, shoe polishers, batteries, a power generator, a water pump, a sprayer, and blowers, as well as thermal bottles, machetes, chainsaw blades, a gas cylinder, and a basketball.
Irregular items seized during operations to combat environmental crimes are sent to the Sector of Seized Goods and Products (SBPA), linked to the Environmental Inspection Directorate (DIFISC) of Semas, which is responsible for the control, custody, and management of all seized goods.

The director of Environmental Inspection at Semas, Tobias Brancher, highlighted the relevance of the initiative: “these equipment, seized during inspection actions, now have a new purpose: to serve the population directly. Through this donation, we are able to strengthen municipal actions and give a destination to the materials, contributing to the environmental and urban maintenance of Belém, and strengthening the fight against environmental crimes throughout the State,” he stated.
