This Sunday (18), the Mangal das Garças Zoobotanical Park in Belém will hold another edition of the children's project Ecoarte. This week's activity will be a workshop on making paints with natural materials, aimed at children. The program starts at 10 am, around the Navigation Memorial, with free participation.

In the workshop, children will learn to prepare homemade paints using natural pigments, baking soda, and white glue. The goal is to spark the little ones' interest in sustainable and creative practices, combining artistic expression with environmental education.

"This Sunday, children will learn to use raw materials creatively. The activities taught in our children's workshops are designed for them to take the lessons into their daily lives, always in tune with environmental education," explains Fernanda Scaramuzzini, Marketing, Communication, and Culture coordinator at OS Pará 2000.

In addition to being a fun experience, the activity also contributes to the development of fine motor skills, sensory perception, and emotional expression, stimulating children's creativity and imagination.

Culture and sustainability at Mangal

The Ecoarte project is an initiative of the Government of the State of Pará, through the State Tourism Secretariat (Setur), in partnership with the Social Organization Pará 2000, which manages Mangal das Garças. The proposal is to offer educational and cultural activities that engage with themes such as sustainability, nature, and art.

The workshop is part of the park's regular programming, which on weekends welcomes families seeking leisure and contact with nature in one of the most emblematic spaces of the capital of Pará.
