Program of the Arraial de Todos os Santos Brings Together Music, Dance, and Theater
The program includes June birds, folk groups, typical dances, and theatrical performances, highlighting the traditional Revoada dos Pássaros Juninos.
The Arraial de Todos os Santos 2025 is already scheduled to start: the festive calendar begins on May 31 and runs until June 29, concluding with the final of the XXI State Quadrilha Junina Contest. More than just a traditional June festival, the event is a large gathering of Pará's popular culture and takes place in various locations in the capital, not just at the headquarters of the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP), on Gentil Bittencourt Avenue.
The program includes June birds, folk groups, typical dances, and theatrical performances, with a highlight on the traditional Revoada dos Pássaros Juninos, which officially opens the arraial on Saturday (31) at 5 PM. The procession will leave from the Casa das Artes, in the Nazaré neighborhood, gathering characters from regional culture in a symbolic celebration of the arrival of the June period.
Tradition and Artistic Training at Curro Velho
One of the highlights of the arraial is the Auto Junino, a show held at Curro Velho, which for over three decades has integrated music, dance, and theater to celebrate the festivities of São João. This year, the auto will be presented on June 6, 7, and 8 at 7:30 PM at the Curro Velho Amphitheater.
With the theme "The Colors of São João," the show is the result of a training process that began in April, with artistic workshops in the areas of theater, dance, and music. More than 200 participants, including children, teenagers, and parents, make up the cast, resulting from eight classes formed over the months.
The big news this edition is the inclusion of the Inclusive Dance class, which participates for the first time in the production. The text is authored by Professor José Maria Bezerra.
"The expectation is high. We believe it will be a beautiful show, but more important than the final result is the process. These meetings we experience with the students during preparation are the true heart of the project," says Jorge Cunha, coordinator of Artistic Initiation at Curro Velho.
Celebration of Cultural Diversity
With a program that extends throughout June, the Arraial de Todos os Santos reaffirms its role as one of the most important cultural events in Pará, promoting access to art, training, and the preservation of popular traditions.
