At the Coordination of Goods in Transit in Tapajós, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), located in the city of Óbidos, in Baixo Amazonas, state tax auditors seized 276 paint cans and two motorcycles, totaling R$96,103.91. The seizure occurred on Wednesday (4).

“During an inspection carried out in the municipality of Juruti, auditors from the State Department of Finance, accompanied by military police from the 35th Battalion of the State Military Police, inspected four vessels coming from Manaus (AM) destined for Juruti and Oriximiná. It was found that there were 276 paint cans traveling with an internal invoice from Amazonas. That is, from Manaus to Manaus, and two motorcycles intended for the final consumer and transported without the collection of the differential ICMS rate (Difal) due in the operation,” said the coordinator of the Tapajós unit, Roberto Mota.

To ensure the collection of the tax due to the Pará treasury, three Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued, totaling R$ 23,244.66, referring to the ICMS and fine.

Carajás – During an inspection also conducted on Wednesday (4), at the São Geraldo do Araguaia tax post, which is part of the Coordination of Goods in Transit of Sefa in Carajás, southeastern Pará, 23 units of hospital fan coils (equipment used in air conditioning systems) were seized, totaling R$ 118,949.58. The goods were from Curitiba-PR destined for Marabá-PA.

“After document analysis, it was found that the taxpayer failed to correctly collect the ICMS related to the Differential Rate (Difal), resulting from the difference between internal and interstate rates, intended for the final consumer,” said the coordinator of the tax unit, Cicinato Oliveira.

A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued, with a total value, including ICMS and fine, of R$ 19,983.53, which was paid and the goods released.

Gurupi - At the Coordination of Goods in Transit in Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, furniture made of stainless steel, box beds, and mattresses valued at approximately R$ 330,276.00 were seized on Wednesday (4).

“Two trucks from Bezerra (PE) and Maracanaú (CE) arrived at the tax post and delivered the tax documents. The officials, upon analyzing the presented invoice, verified, through research in the Sefa system, that the differential ICMS rate (Difal) for the loads of the two trucks had not been collected by the state,” reported the coordinator, Gustavo Bozola.

The goods were retained and two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued, totaling R$ 37,831.30.
