CIIR is selected to showcase excellence practices at a global health event
Projects developed at CIIR will be presented as examples of excellence at the largest international conference on health

"My son started participating in therapies and in a short time, he evolved a lot. He improved a lot in interaction. Playing with friends, with other children, attending other environments: church, events, birthday parties, everything." The emotional account is from Jéssica Oliveira Gomes, mother of Luiz Antônio, 4 years old. For her, the Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR), in Belém, is more than a health space, "it is a welcoming place."

Jéssica's experience, shared by thousands of families served by the unit, now gains international projection. Seven scientific papers developed by professionals at CIIR have been selected to be part of the official program of the Planetree International Conference on Person-Centered Care 2025, the largest global event on person-centered care, which will be held in October in the United States.

The executive director of CIIR, Rejane Xavier, celebrates the achievement as a recognition of the health model that has been implemented in Pará.
"The selection of CIIR's works for the Planetree 2025 Conference is a recognition of our commitment to humanized care, based on scientific evidence and centered on the real needs of people. More than presenting experiences, we will share practices that transform lives every day. Taking these initiatives from Pará to an international stage shows that it is possible to provide public health with quality, innovation, and social responsibility."
Rejane Xavier also had her lecture "Small Steps, Big Changes: The Impact of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeries in Pará" approved for presentation on October 15, in the special session Sparks Stage.
Another highlight in the program is the assistant coordinator of the Specialized Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (Cetea), Sâmilly Batista. She will present, on October 13, the work "Evidence-Based Practices in Autism Treatment: An Analysis of Interventions Conducted at Cetea, a Reference Center in the Amazon."

Selected works in the poster category
Another five works from CIIR professionals were included in the poster category, which brings together research experiences and innovative practices in person-centered health:
• "Libras Training in Service: Inclusive, Humanized, and Safe Assistance to Deaf Users," by Géssica Pimentel, highlights the importance of accessible communication and safe care for the deaf population.
• "Formative Axis: Training Professionals for the Care of People with ASD," by Luciana Maués, pedagogical coordinator of Cetea, presents the center's role in the continuous training of multiprofessional teams.
• "Humanization Without Borders: Humanized Multiprofessional Care in Quilombola Communities in the Municipality of Acará (PA)," by Ivana Pimentel, president of the Humanization Working Group (GTH), emphasizes the appreciation of diversity and traditional knowledge.
• "The Impact of Sustainable Environmental Practices at the Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation on Engagement in Person-Centered Care," by Leisson Pinheiro, highlights the unit's environmental commitment.
• "Patient-Centered Rehabilitation in Brazil," by Maria do Carmo Freitas, reinforces the importance of individualized and integrated practices in the rehabilitation process.

The Secretary of State for Public Health, Ivete Gadelha Vaz, highlighted the importance of international recognition of the work developed at CIIR. "The selection of seven works from the Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR) for the Planetree International Conference reinforces the positioning of the Government of Pará in developing public health committed to inclusion, equity, and quality of care. The international recognition of CIIR demonstrates the technical capacity and engagement of the teams in evidence-based practices, focusing on the person and the social impact of health actions."
National and international reference
The selection of the works reinforces CIIR's prominence in the international public health scenario and values the performance of its multiprofessional team. The Planetree Conference annually brings together leaders, professionals, and researchers from various countries, discussing more humane and effective care strategies.
In addition to scientific excellence, CIIR has stood out for good environmental practices. For the third consecutive year, the unit received the Green Seal from the Chico Mendes Institute, in the Responsible Socio-Environmental Action category.
