On Monday (16), the Civil Police of Pará, through the Specialized Police Station for the Care of Children and Adolescents (DEACA) Santa Casa, launched "Operation Iris" which resulted in the execution of search and seizure warrants and an arrest in flagrante for the crime of storing and sharing child pornography in Belém.
The search and seizure warrants were issued by the 1st Court of Police Inquiries and Precautionary Measures of the capital of Pará, and the operation was supported operationally by the Directorate for the Care of Vulnerable Groups (DAV), the Working Group on Vulnerables (GTV/NIP), and the Scientific Police of Pará (PCEPA).

"The operation was designed with the main objective of investigating possible suspects involved in the crime of storing and sharing child pornography. Initially, the teams from DEACA Santa Casa conducted investigations to verify reports indicating the suspects' activities on social media, where they shared content related to child pornography," pointed out the head of DAV, delegate Emanuela Amorim.

During the investigations, the police teams gathered elements of the case and judicially requested the issuance of search and seizure warrants. The warrants were granted, and the Civil Police, with the support of GTV and PCEPA, worked to locate one of the suspects of the criminal act.
"At the location, various materials containing child pornography were found, and the individual was arrested in flagrante for the offenses cited in Articles 241-A and 241-B of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA). Additionally, on the individual's social media application, various groups for storing and sharing child pornography were located," explained delegate Danielle Ambrósio.
The procedures are being finalized at the specialized unit, and after the formalization of the procedural acts, the arrested individual will remain at the disposal of the Justice and will be forwarded to the State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration (SEAP) for the necessary procedures.
