Registrations for the workshop "Experimental Animation: frames, rhythms, and transformations" promoted by the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) are open until June 25. The classes are in-person and will be held from June 30 to July 4, from 1:30 PM to 6 PM, at the Casa das Artes, in Belém. Artists, art students, and related fields who are over 18 years old and have experience in digital drawing can participate.

Taught by Angélica Maia, the course will cover the fundamentals of frame-by-frame animation, the use of creativity in accessible software, visual creations, short animations, and visual experiments. “Participants will have the opportunity to explore the animation creation process. The proposal encourages a sensitive and authorial approach, allowing each participant to develop a small project that reflects their poetics and perspective,” she details.
According to the instructor, the workshop proposes an experience that combines technique, improvisation, and invention, valuing animation as an expanded field of creation. "The opportunity that the workshop offers seeks to awaken the participants' gaze to the joint movement of language, image, and animations that stimulates the use of creativity," she concludes.
