Those who chose the Mosqueiro District in Belém to enjoy the extended holiday found tranquility and guaranteed safety. The district is among the more than 30 locations that are part of the Corpus Christi Operation, which started this Thursday (19).

The actions are being coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) in conjunction with state and municipal security agencies, which are working together in ostensive and preventive actions to ensure order, safety, and a peaceful leisure experience for residents and tourists.

According to the acting Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense, Cel PM Sérgio Neves, the planning was designed for all scenarios, whether there is a lot or little movement, ensuring safety and social peace for everyone in every way. "The movement in Mosqueiro is calm on this first day of the holiday, but the actions are proceeding as planned with ostensive policing in all shifts, integrated inspections, beach prevention, within the responsibilities of each security agency, to ensure a peaceful enjoyment for those who chose to spend these days in Mosqueiro," he highlighted.

Among the actions taking place in the district are those of the Military Police through the "Orla Segura," reinforcing policing at strategic points to ensure everyone's safety, in addition to integrated actions with other municipal agencies for inspections on roads and traffic.

The Military Fire Department is also ensuring beach prevention at the beaches of Mosqueiro, with lifeguards on standby, distribution of identification wristbands for children, guidance regarding tide tables, and also providing pre-hospital care. Additionally, rescue vehicles are maintained on the access roads to the district.

The Civil Police, through the Metropolitan Police Directorates (DPM) and Administrative Police (DPA), is working in an integrated manner with operations to inspect the functioning of bars, restaurants, concert halls, and similar establishments, as well as addressing noise pollution and the presence of children and adolescents in nightlife establishments.

"It is very good to see security present here. Because, first of all, there has to be security, because people drink, forget about traffic, and then it gets a bit difficult. The presence of firefighters here on the beach is also very important because something can happen, and they are here, already saving our lives because they are on standby, this is very good for all of us," said Lindalvina Santos, who enjoyed the holiday at the beach.

The joint actions in more than 30 locations will continue until next Monday (23), with agents from the Civil, Military, and Scientific Police, Fire Department, State Traffic Department (Detran), Penitentiary Administration Secretariat (Seap), Air Security Group (Graesp), Municipal Guard of Belém, Secretary of Security, Public Order and Mobility of Belém, as well as the Secretary of Security and Social Defense of Marituba.
