'Caravana Saeb 2025' strengthens public state education in the Araguaia region
In two days of action, school managers participated in the initiative of the State Department of Education (Seduc) for the advancement of public education in Pará
Focusing on improving student learning and achieving better results in external assessments, such as the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb 2025), the State Department of Education (Seduc) continues with the "Caravana Saeb 2025". This week, the Caravan arrived in the Araguaia Integration Region, in southeastern Pará, and brought together managers from state schools in the 15 municipalities that make up the Regional Education Directorates (DREs) of Conceição do Araguaia and Xinguara.
The proposal of the "Caravana Saeb" is to align actions and mobilize school leaders for the improvement of students' academic performance. The initiative offers training for DRE leaders and management teams of state schools, strengthening pedagogical and management strategies.
"The action is part of Seduc's strategic planning, and the pedagogical team is traveling through the Regional Directorates so that we can discuss the peculiarities and realities of each region, and thus address each director about the challenges, listen to them about the practices being implemented, and at the same time, present Seduc's action plan for the 2025 exercise focused on the recovery of learning, with an emphasis on improving results in Saeb," said the Deputy Secretary of Basic Education (Saeb), Júlio Meireles.
In the DRE Conceição do Araguaia, the training was held on Monday (23). For the director of the João Pinto Pereira State School, in the municipality of Cumaru do Norte, the mobilization is essential to stimulate the participation and engagement of schools.
"The learning here was very valuable. It was an exchange of experiences and we are heading towards achieving the goal of 4.8 in the assessment, we will grow in this 2025 evaluation," said manager Alexcsander Soares.
On Tuesday (24), the Caravana Saeb reached the schools and management team of the DRE Xinguara. According to the Regional Education Director of the region, Jânio Rodrigues, the mobilization brings new energy to the region.
"For us, it is a privilege to receive the Caravana Saeb, in addition to being a historic milestone, because this was a region that did not have this culture of having Seduc's presence, so today we really feel part of a network. This certainly gives us more motivation because the quality of the content is very good and, especially, because we have the feeling of being recognized, that you exist, not only as a teacher, but that you are also part of enriching this state, part of the educational movement, part of this achievement of Ideb, part of the educational process itself. For us, this brings a new motivation," he shared.
According to the manager, the initiative of the management with the Caravana Saeb 2025 is a milestone. "I have been at Seduc for over 20 years and this is the first time we have the honor of receiving a Seduc team that comes, in addition to bringing information, to listen to us, to know our reality up close, to understand how we live, how we struggle, how we do education here. So this is a moment that will stay in our memory, will be part of our history and will certainly change a bit our conception of practice," commented the director of Xinguara.
During the training, the technical team of the Deputy Secretary of Basic Education (Saeb) of Seduc also presented monitoring tools, guidelines on the pedagogical use of assessment results, and reinforced the importance of maintaining high student participation rates in the tests.
