Sefa seizes 77,420 kg of rice in Santana do Araguaia
The invoices presented had a value significantly lower than the Sefa Minimum Price Bulletin and the ICMS for interstate freight had not been collected.
State revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa) seized on Tuesday (24), 77,420 kg of husked rice, with a total value of R$166,561.66. The seizure occurred at the Barreira do Campo tax post, on Highway PA 441- Km 38, in Santana do Araguaia. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Araguaia, located at km 15 of highway PA-447, in the southeastern region of the State.
“The drivers of two bitrem trucks presented invoices for type 2 husked rice, originating from Rurópolis and destined for Gurupi-TO. Upon inspecting the documents, it was found that the invoices had a value significantly lower than the Sefa Minimum Price Bulletin and the ICMS for interstate freight for the service had not been collected,” reported the coordinator of the tax unit, Renato Couto.
Four Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up due to the undervalued amounts and for failing to collect the ICMS for freight in advance, amounting to R$28,982.53, related to the tax and fine, which were paid and the goods released.
