Secult opens registrations for the Author's Point and Artist's Alley of the 28th Pan-Amazonian Book Fair and Multivoices
The 28th edition of the event will take place in August at Hangar, in Belém
The State Secretariat of Culture of Pará (Secult) opened, this Friday (27), registrations for the "Author's Point" and "Artist's Alley" of the 28th Pan-Amazonian Book Fair and Multivoices, which will be held in August at Hangar – Amazon Convention and Fair Center, in Belém.
Registrations are free and can be made exclusively through the website of the Cultural Map of Pará.
The Author's Point is aimed at the launch and relaunch of books by writers from Pará or residents in Pará for at least two years. Authors of works published in 2023 and 2024 that have not yet been launched at the Book Fair can register. Each selected writer will have a table, two chairs, and a display for their books at the event, being able to sell copies freely on the day of the launch or leave up to ten units on consignment with Secult. All proceeds from sales will be fully passed on to the author. Registrations for this space will be open until July 27.
The Artist's Alley is intended for the sale of original and authorial works by visual artists, such as comic book artists, illustrators, and miniature creators. In this edition, 18 artists will be selected, who will be able to exhibit and sell their works directly to the public. Registrations for the Artist's Alley are open until July 6, on the Cultural Map platform.
Among the required criteria are the originality of the works and recognized performance in the field of visual arts. Proponents who are already registered on the platform do not need to register again. After submitting the proposal, artists go through two stages: qualification, which is eliminatory, and selection, which is classificatory.
The complete announcement of each call is available on the Cultural Map of Pará and also on the official website of Secult.
