Segup launches 'Operation Summer 2025' and activates Mobile Integrated Center in Mosqueiro
The operation carried out in 50 municipalities of the state involves more than 9,000 agents acting during the Amazonian summer at the main beaches and resorts of the state

The State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), in partnership with the agencies of the State Public Security System and municipalities in Pará, launched Operation Summer 2025 this Saturday (28). The action was launched simultaneously in more than 50 locations and aims to ensure the safety of the population during the school vacation period and the Amazonian summer.

On Mosqueiro Island, one of the main tourist destinations in the state, Segup's Mobile Integrated Command and Control Center (CICC) was activated to directly participate in security actions. The structure is installed at Av. 16 de Novembro with Av. Beira-Mar, with real-time monitoring of security cameras spread throughout the district, allowing for quick responses to incidents and the registration of reports in cases of lesser severity.
The Deputy Secretary of Operational Management of Segup, Colonel PM Sérgio Neves, participated in the launch in Mosqueiro and highlighted the importance of the integrated action of the forces. “We officially launched the operation in the district and in another 50 municipalities in the state. The population can already count on our security apparatus on the beaches, resorts, and other locations. Even with an atypical school calendar this year in the capital, we guarantee security actions throughout July until the first weekend of August. Our agents are ready to supervise the beaches, patrol the streets, and combat crime, ensuring a peaceful summer for families in Pará,” said the colonel.

A resident of the capital, preschool teacher Andréia chose Mosqueiro to spend the vacation with her family and approved the increase in security. “We have always come to Mosqueiro at this time of year and I feel much safer with the police on the streets and beaches, with the constant presence of the Fire Department. This gives us peace of mind to enjoy the summer with family,” she said.
Security and supervision - In Mosqueiro, more than 150 agents operate daily on the main beaches and roads of the island. The operation includes monitoring buses at the entrance gate of the island, checking documentation and verifying the presence of children and adolescents accompanied by their guardians.
On the beaches, teams also monitor the use of kite lines with cerol and the circulation of glass bottles, which pose risks to bathers. The Fire Department conducts actions to identify children to prevent them from getting lost from their guardians, in addition to maintaining lifeguard and rescue teams on standby.

Zero tolerance and Dry Law - Integrated teams from the Civil and Military Police, as well as other agencies, supervise bars, restaurants, and commercial establishments, checking permits, possible risk situations involving minors, and cases of sexual harassment. The State Traffic Department (Detran) also focuses on accident prevention, curbing irregularities and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Operation Summer 2025 - Considered one of the largest security operations in the state, Operation Summer 2025 mobilizes more than 9,200 agents in ostensive and preventive actions, with reinforcement in local policing. The actions began on June 28 and will continue until August 4.
The initiative involves employees from Segup, Military, Civil, and Scientific Police, Military Fire Department, Detran, Seap, as well as state agencies such as Artran, Adepará, and Ideflor-Bio, Municipal Guards, and federal institutions, such as the Port Authority.
