The Civil Police of Pará has increased the presence of agents in more than 50 locations across the state as part of the "Summer Operation 2025," coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup). The integration with state and federal security agencies aims to ensure the tranquility and protection of the population during the July school break.

The actions began this Saturday (28) and will extend until August. About 300 civil police officers have been assigned to operate in the main beaches and resorts, both in the Metropolitan Region of Belém and in the countryside. This contingent joins the teams already in service at the police stations and the Integrated Command and Control Centers (CICC), ensuring specialized service on multiple fronts.

“We are starting another phase of the Summer Operation, an integrated and strategic action of the state public security forces, with the main objective of ensuring the tranquility of the population during the holiday period and the increased flow of people in resorts and tourist areas,” explains the general delegate of the PCPA, Raimundo Benassuly.

Among the priority activities, the Directorate of Assistance to Vulnerable Groups (DAV) promotes the dissemination of services from the Specialized Police Stations for Women (DEAMs), offering guidance on violence prevention and reporting channels, such as the Virtual DEAM and Dial 180.

At the same time, inspections of the “Dry Law” have been intensified, in collaboration with the State Traffic Department (Detran) and agents from the Military Police, to curb driving under the influence of alcohol and other infractions on the roads.

Inspections in commercial establishments, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs have also been expanded. The focus is to prevent violations of public order, such as noise pollution and disturbance of peace. To this end, teams from the Coordination of Operations and Special Resources provide support to the work already carried out by the Specialized Division for Environmental and Animal Protection (DEMAPA) and Administrative Police.

“The Civil Police is present with reinforcements in the police stations, specialized service, and investigation teams acting preventively and repressively, always focused on protecting life, combating crime, and providing a quick response to incidents,” emphasizes the deputy general delegate, Temmer Khayat.
