Viseu hosts the program “FCP Throughout Pará”

The city of Viseu, located in the integration region of the Rio Caeté, hosted a series of workshops and lectures from July 1 to 4, addressing the themes: Art, culture, and education. The free program was promoted by the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP), through the program FCP Throughout Pará.
Throughout the week, activities were offered for different audiences. Students, writers, artisans, musicians, and curious individuals benefited from the free services.

Student Jefferson de Souza participated in the workshop ‘Digital Content Production with Mobile Devices’.
“For me, it was very important to participate in this workshop because I have an interest in the audiovisual field, so it was an opportunity to learn a lot about the subject,” pointed out the student.
In addition to the audiovisual workshop, courses on “Handmade Bookmaking,” “Creative Economy,” a lecture on “Structure of the Choro Genre,” and a chat about “Amazonian Literature Produced in Pará” were offered.
Also, in Viseu, in the quilombola community João Grande, the FCP promoted the mini-course “There’s Reading in the Quilombo,” an activity exclusive to the community residents aimed at valuing the community's history through orality and writing, encouraging the formation of new readers and writers.
The president of the Cultural Foundation of Pará, Thiago Miranda, explains that “FCP Throughout Pará” seeks to democratize access to culture, education, and professional qualification in various regions of the state. “Throughout the week, the residents of Viseu had the opportunity to learn, exchange experiences, and strengthen cultural production in the northeastern region of Pará,” he concludes.
