HRPC celebrates the 93rd birthday of a user with a special humanization action
The action, promoted by the hospital's Humanization Working Group, moved the honoree
Reference in medium and high complexity in northeastern Pará, the Hospital Regional Público dos Caetés (HRPC), in Capanema, promoted through the Humanization Working Group (GTH) yet another action aimed at welcoming and valuing its users. The honoree this time was Dona Lourdina da Silva Alves, who turned 93 during her hospitalization at the unit.
For Silmara Santos, laboratory technician and member of the GTH, moments like this reinforce the hospital's commitment to humanization in health care. “Celebrating the lives of our users is a way to make the hospital experience lighter and more welcoming. It is gratifying to see Dona Lourdina's smile with the surprise,” she stated.
Nathalia Oliveira, clinical nutritionist and member of the GTH, highlights the importance of the action. “Celebrating life within the hospital environment, even in critical contexts like the ICU, is an essential way to offer truly comprehensive care. We had the opportunity to celebrate Dona Lourdina's 93rd birthday, and it was moving to witness her joy upon realizing that her life was remembered and valued. Simple gestures like this show that, even in the face of fragility, each patient carries with them a story and feelings that deserve to be respected and embraced. The humanization of care goes far beyond protocols; it is in the details that make the patient feel seen, important, and cared for.”
A resident of the municipality of Augusto Corrêa, located about 70 km from Capanema, Dona Lourdina expressed gratitude for the surprise. “I’m very happy, thank you for everyone’s affection. May God bless you all.”
