HRPM contributes to the training of professionals on Marajó Island
On last Monday (14), the Regional Public Hospital of Marajó (HRPM), in Breves, received 28 students from the Pedagogy course at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Breves campus, for a technical visit aimed at presenting the areas of action of Business Pedagogy and Hospital Pedagogy, practiced in the hospital environment by the pedagogue of HRPM.
The initiative was mainly held in the auditorium of the hospital unit and led by the hospital pedagogue and supervisor of the Permanent Education Center (NEP), Rosângela Gonçalves. The action provided the students with practical experience while expanding their knowledge about humanized care practices, promoting a more welcoming and educational approach in the hospital environment.
Professor Dr. Enil do Socorro de Sousa Pureza from UFPA explains that the visit made by the Pedagogy class from the Faculty of Education Sciences at the Breves/UFPA Campus to the Marajó Hospital represented an enriching learning moment. “We had the opportunity to closely learn about the work that the institution has been developing with the local community and, more specifically, the actions of the Permanent Education Center (NEP), discovering how pedagogues act as collaborators in this sector, playing a fundamental role in the hospital context,” he pointed out.
He adds that during the presentation about the NEP, Rosângela Gonçalves, through her experiences, shared her daily responsibilities, challenges, and advancements in leading this sector. “This experience certainly broadened our view of professional opportunities in the education field, showing how pedagogical work is also necessary outside the school environment,” concluded the educator.
Eduardo dos Santos Castro, one of the students who participated in the technical visit, comments that the moment was a unique experience for his training. “We were welcomed by the pedagogue and the administrative assistant of the NEP, who presented us with the competencies developed by the sector. They highlighted, in particular, the training processes for employees and the projects focused on ensuring humanized care for users. During the visit, we also got to know the playroom of the unit, a fundamental space for the recovery of children. This experience provided us with valuable reflection on the role of the pedagogue in the hospital environment.”
