In Salinópolis, preventive and ostensive actions are intensified in the last weekend of July
Reinforced policing on beaches and roads, monitoring and readiness of the Fire Department, and traffic inspections are among the actions reinforced in Salinópolis

The actions of Operation Summer 2025, coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) in conjunction with the State Public Security System agencies, are intensified to ensure public order and a peaceful leisure time on the last weekend of July in one of the most sought-after locations in the Amazon summer, Salinópolis, in northeastern Pará.
According to Ualame Machado, head of Segup, the state, through the security system, continues its commitment to ensure tranquility during the Amazon summer as in all periods of the year. "We know that the last weekends of July are usually the ones with the highest flow of people on the beaches and resorts, and this requires planning from the security agencies so that the population can enjoy the end of the holiday period safely. Therefore, our actions will continue until the first weekend of August, when the flow of vacationers decreases, thus ensuring order and safe leisure in all regions of the state, as well as in Salinas, which is one of the busiest locations during this period," said the secretary.

This Saturday (26), the actions began at 5:30 AM, with inspections regarding the presence of automotive sounds and trailers on the sand of the Atalaia and Farol Velho beaches.
During the integrated operation, owners who still remained with vehicles on the sand after 6 AM were advised to leave, thus ensuring compliance with the court order that prohibits their presence in the area between 6 AM and 6 PM.

Other actions continue throughout the day, with specific inspections in the responsibilities of each agency, as well as integrated inspections on roads, establishments, and beaches. The sale and use of cutting lines for kite flying, the use of glass bottles on the sand, and the operation of vehicles under the influence of alcohol are among the practices monitored and inspected continuously during the inspections that occur after the briefing at the Integrated Command and Control Center set up on Atalaia beach.
Prevention and rescue
The military of the Fire Department of Pará continue with prevention and rescue actions through the 13th Military Fire Brigade, ensuring more safety for the population on the beaches, highways, commercial establishments, and hotel networks in the city.

According to the Commander of the 13th GBM, Major Rodrigo Martins do Vale, the work of the corporation has stood out especially in July not only for emergency assistance but also for its educational and preventive nature.
"We are focusing on prevention. We conduct technical inspections in bars, restaurants, hotels, and show houses, in addition to promoting first aid training. We also maintain constant dialogue with representatives of civil society and local authorities in governance meetings to align strategies and strengthen the protection of the population," highlighted the commander.

On the beaches of Atalaia, Maçarico, Corvina, Farol Velho, and Espadarte, the lifeguards of CBMPA have acted preventively and strategically, with observation points, signaling of risk areas, and direct guidance to bathers. The main occurrences attended by the corporation were accidents with marine animals (such as fish and jellyfish), followed by pre-hospital care caused by sharp objects on the sand, and in third place, cases of lost children.
To prevent these situations, CBMPA advises:
● Avoid walking in shallow areas where there is a higher chance of encountering marine animals or throwing food into the sea, as it may attract them;
● Always observe the signals and guidance from lifeguards;
● Use identification bracelets on children, with the name and contact phone number of the guardians;
● Keep sharp objects and glass containers away from the sand, reducing the risk of injuries;
● Seek information about the Fire Department's support points upon arriving at the beach.
Major Rodrigo also adds: “The integrated action with local institutions and the population demonstrates the commitment of the Fire Department to the mission of protecting lives and promoting a safer and more peaceful summer in Salinópolis.”
For teacher Tânia Neves, who took advantage of the Civil Defense military's action to identify her children with bracelets, the action is very important. “We are giving all attention to them as they play right next to the table we are at, they only go to the water with us, but even so, we put on the identification bracelets, because if we lose sight of them at some point, they will be able to alert us through the identification. So congratulations to the firefighters for their work and for guiding us as well,” said Tânia, who is enjoying the last weekend of July with her family at Atalaia beach.
