The "Daycares Across Pará" program, an unprecedented educational initiative, is advancing, and only in the first half of this year, the State Government delivered six early childhood education development units. The current administration, with the goals of promoting social transformation, also delivered 14 reconstructed schools during the same period.

“Raising the quality of education in Pará is one of the State Government's priorities. We reaffirm this commitment through investments in the restructuring of schools, ensuring comfort, safety, and quality pedagogical education for our students at all levels of education,” highlights the State Secretary of Education (Seduc), Ricardo Sefer.

The municipalities of Redenção, Cumaru do Norte, Almeirim, Bannach, Melgaço, and Curuçá were benefited by the "Daycares Across Pará" program. An investment of about R$ 30 million. The delivery of the units benefits around 1,200 families, especially mothers in situations of social vulnerability who need to return to the job market.

Children gain safe and comfortable environments

Juliane Batista, mother of Vitória, who is 1 year and 7 months old, hopes to return to the job market, thanks to the opportunity to leave her daughter in a safe environment with the opening of the daycare in Melgaço.

“We needed this investment, which came at the right time, because we can leave our children comfortable in the daycare and we can work. We can only thank the State Government,” said Juliane Batista.

With investments exceeding R$ 400 million, the program plans to build 150 daycare centers throughout Pará, aimed at children aged 0 to 5 years, with 200 spots in each unit.

Schools – In the first half of 2025, 14 schools were delivered in the municipalities of Belém; Bragança, Brasil Novo, Breu Branco, Anapu, Cachoeira do Arari, Brejo Grande do Araguaia, Barcarena, Colares, and Jacareacanga. More than 7,500 students benefited from the reconstruction of the units. The investment is over R$ 70 million.
In Belém, the schools Aldebaro Klautau, Aníbal Duarte Full-Time Education, Augusto Meira, and Paulo Maranhão were delivered. In addition to these units, the State Government also delivered the first State Bilingual Full-Time School in Portuguese-Spanish in Pará, located in the district of Icoaraci.

With the capacity to serve up to 700 students, from preschool to high school, the full-time unit operates with a new pedagogical model in the state network. The proposal is based on student cooperativism, focusing on interdisciplinary projects that connect with the students' reality and promote protagonism in the learning process.

The school also bets on an innovative approach, combining full-time education with bilingual training from the early years of basic education. Starting in the second semester, high school students will be able to choose a formative path integrated with Professional and Technological Education, selecting which technical training they wish to pursue. At the end of the cycle, in addition to the high school diploma, they will also receive the corresponding technical certificate.

The deliveries reinforce the State Government's commitment to enhancing the quality of public education. Since the beginning of the current state administration in 2019, 171 fully reconstructed school units have already been delivered throughout Pará.
