Regional Hospital of Marajó trains professionals in the Hemodialysis Sector
The state government unit invests to continue providing quality care to renal patients. Only between January and July of this year, the Hemodialysis Sector served 3,597 users.
As a reference in specialized assistance to chronic renal users through the Hemodialysis Service, the Public Regional Hospital of Marajó (HRPM), in Breves, plays a fundamental role in decentralizing health care in the Marajó archipelago, northern Pará. In order to further strengthen the quality of care, the management of the unit promoted, at the beginning of this month, a training aimed at professionals in the sector.

Held on Monday (1st), the training addressed the topic "Reprocessing of Dialyzers and Hemodialysis Lines," updating information and providing an exchange of experiences among team professionals. The activity was conducted in person, in the Nursing Coordination room, and also online, in partnership with the company supplying materials for hemodialysis.
The technical responsible for the procedure, nurse Joseane Correa, informed that "the reprocessing of dialyzers ensures greater safety for patients, mainly by reducing the risk of infections, in addition to ensuring more effective dialysis."

Approval - The elderly João Batista da Silva, 70 years old, a user of the HRPM Hemodialysis Service since 2023, emphasized the importance of the professionals' qualification. "They are very dedicated, treat us very well. They are qualified. I feel safe, especially when I come for hemodialysis," assured the retiree.
From January to July of this year, the HRPM Hemodialysis Sector recorded 3,597 attendances.
Service: The Public Regional Hospital of Marajó is a unit of the public health network of the Government of Pará, managed by the National Institute of Social and Human Development (INDSH), in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa).
The unit provides medium and high complexity assistance to approximately 300,000 inhabitants of the municipalities linked to the 8th Regional Health Center (CRS) – Breves, Anajás, Bagre, Curralinho, Gurupá, Melgaço, and Portel.
