The president of the Institute, Nilson Pinto, participated in the panel "Environment, Socio-biodiversity, and Climate in the Pan-Amazon", which promoted reflections on the challenges of the region in the face of environmental changes, the use of natural resources, and the preservation of biodiversity.

"On Amazon Day, we celebrate this important date by participating in the 4th Amazônias Congress. It was an enriching experience. I had the honor of participating and contributing to the round table that addressed the theme 'Cooperation in development projects in the Amazon'. It is always gratifying to be in the academic environment, to meet friends and mentors who have contributed so much to my journey. Together, let’s strengthen cooperation and sustainable development in our Amazon," emphasized Nilson Pinto.

Theme - Created in 2022, the Amazônias Congress aims to democratize scientific knowledge and stimulate the articulation between graduate programs and research groups focused on the Pan-Amazon. This year, the central theme was "Environments, Socio-biodiversity, and Climate in the Pan-Amazon", proposing a space for integration between different views, from academic knowledge to traditional knowledge, which are fundamental for building innovative solutions in the region.

Over three days of programming, the Coam featured round tables, lectures, and debates that highlighted the importance of bringing science closer to public management and local communities. The event reinforced the need for cooperation among Amazonian countries and joint strategies to face the challenges of sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and the appreciation of cultural diversity.

Nilson Pinto also emphasized that Ideflor-Bio's participation in the congress reflects the commitment of the State of Pará to contribute to initiatives that strengthen environmental governance and academic cooperation. "Our presence symbolizes the integration between public management and scientific production, highlighting that dialogue between different sectors is essential for the sustainable future of the Amazon," emphasized the president of the Institute.
