Sefa seizes 30 tons of açaí and 32 tons of wheat flour
19 tires and 829 various automotive parts were also seized. The Terms of Seizure and Deposit for the three cases total more than R$ 145 thousand

State revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa) seized on Tuesday (09), 30 tons of frozen açaí, valued at R$ 165,600.00, originating from Ananindeua/PA and destined for Vila Velha/ES. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit in Itinga, located in Dom Eliseu, northeastern Pará.
“During the inspection process, an invoice for the cargo was presented, which indicated a tax rate lower than the one applied, based on a tax benefit that had already been revoked, resulting in a lower ICMS calculated. Since the tax was calculated lower, a Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued, amounting to R$ 21,859.20, referring to the ICMS and fine,” said the coordinator, Rafael Brasil.

Tires – Still in Itinga, on the same day, 19 tires and 829 various automotive parts were seized, valued at R$ 335,149.68, originating from Barueri/SP and destined for Primavera/PA.
“During the inspection, invoices were presented indicating the shipment of goods for service provision. However, due to the characteristics of the cargo, it would be used by the recipient company in its activities and would not return to the sender. The Differential of ICMS Rate (Difal) for the State of Pará would have to be charged on the goods. A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 77,216.83 referring to the ICMS and fine,” reported the state revenue inspector.

Wheat flour - On the same Tuesday (09), inspectors assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, from Sefa, in the southeastern part of the state, seized 32 tons of wheat flour, valued at R$ 95,548.00.
The seizure occurred at the fiscal post of KM 09 of the Transamazon Highway, in Marabá, when a truck transporting goods from the municipality of Ipojuca/PE, destined for Altamira/PA, was approached.
“Upon examining the fiscal documents and consulting the system for the wheat flour cargo, it was found that the goods were entering the State of Pará without the proper ICMS collection upon entry, constituting a violation of state tax legislation,” reported the state revenue inspector Cicinato Oliveira, who coordinates the tax unit.
A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 46,550.98, charging ICMS and fine on the goods.
