The event, organized by the Instituto Pensar, with the support of the Government of Amapá, aimed to build a common agenda of actions and strengthen dialogue among the commissions, aiming to enhance environmental education initiatives in the Amazon. In addition to Pará, members from the CIEAs of Amapá, Acre, Roraima, Amazonas, and Tocantins participated.

Sustainability - Semas, represented by the Environmental Education coordinator, Andreia Monteiro, highlighted the actions developed in the State to strengthen environmental education and emphasized the efforts with the 25 partner institutions of the CIEA to integrate and promote activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)/UN, reinforcing the Amazonian environmental agenda.
The coordinator emphasized the importance of the CIEA's work in Pará and the visibility for environmental education. “We concluded our participation by reinforcing the importance of the CIEA in the State of Pará, which has its coordination shared between Semas and Seduc. Recently, on September 23, the ordinance updating the commission was published, showing the commitment to give more visibility to environmental education and the work developed by the CIEA,” informed the coordinator.
