During the weekend of the Círio de Nazaré 2025 festivities, the Utinga Camillo Vianna State Park in Belém will operate on special hours. The space, managed by the Pará Forest Development and Biodiversity Institute (Ideflor-Bio) and the Social Organization Pará 2000, will welcome the public on Friday (10) and Saturday (11), from 6 AM to 5 PM. On Sunday (12), the day of the main Círio procession, the conservation unit will be closed for visitation.

On Monday (13), Utinga will resume its normal activities, from 6 AM to 5 PM. On Tuesday (14), the Park will open exceptionally, also from 6 AM to 5 PM, due to the extended holiday and the large flow of visitors who usually take advantage of the period for leisure activities and contact with nature.

This measure aims to ensure the safety of visitors, facilitate access and the operation of maintenance and support teams, in addition to considering the impact of traffic and urban mobility during the Círio weekend, when Belém receives thousands of pilgrims and tourists.

Located just a few minutes from the center of the capital of Pará, Utinga State Park is one of the main leisure and ecotourism areas in the city, offering trails, bike rides, picnics, contemplation areas, and educational activities. The space also plays a fundamental role in protecting the water sources that supply Belém, the Bolonha and Água Preta lakes.

Planning - According to the manager of the Belém Administrative Region of Ideflor-Bio, Júlio Meyer, the special hours were planned to reconcile the Círio program with the safe and organized use of the Park. “Círio is a time of intense movement throughout the city. Therefore, we adjusted the operation of Utinga Park to ensure that visitors can enjoy the space peacefully, without compromising logistics and safety during the processions and religious events,” he explained.

Júlio Meyer also emphasizes that entry to the Park is free and recommends that visitors wear light clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent, and bring their reusable water bottles. The parking lot operates during the same visitation hours, and access is allowed until 4 PM.
