Hemopa's campaign at Grau Técnico mobilized students and encouraged blood donation in Belém.

The Pará Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology Foundation (Hemopa) held a blood donation campaign at Grau Técnico Belém, located in the São Brás neighborhood, on Wednesday (22). The initiative was organized in partnership with the educational institution and mobilized students, teachers, and staff, who contributed to the success of the action.

One of the rooms in the technical center was adapted for the service of volunteers, ensuring a suitable and comfortable environment for the donation process. The campaign was part of Hemopa's partnership calendar with educational institutions, which aims to bring young people closer to the cause of blood donation and stimulate solidarity among future health professionals.

Vanessa Sena – social worker at Hemopa. “The partnership with Grau Técnico is already constant and encourages future health professionals to donate.”

Vanessa Sena, the social worker from Hemopa's Donor Recruitment Management (Gecad), emphasized that Grau Técnico is a constant partner of the foundation. “This partnership, which is already constant, allows future health professionals to have the opportunity to donate blood and encourage others to become donors as well,” she highlighted.

Rita de Cássia – Nursing student and donor. “It’s good because it encourages other people to donate and makes it easier for those who can’t go to Hemopa.”

Among the participants was Nursing student Rita de Cássia, who emphasized the importance of the campaign. “This is already my second blood donation. I am a student at Grau Técnico and my first donation was also here. It’s good because it encourages other people to donate. Not everyone has time to go to Hemopa, so it’s easier when it comes close to us,” she said.
