PGE maintains public service during COP 30 period in Belém
The Attorney General's Office of the State (PGE) announces hybrid public service (in-person and online) starting next Wednesday (5)
The Attorney General's Office of the State (PGE) will ensure hybrid public service (in-person and online) starting next Wednesday (5) until Friday, November 21, the closing date of COP30 (30th World Conference on Climate Change) in Belém.
The PGE's measure follows the determination of Decree No. 4,348/2024, which regulates the operation of state executive bodies and entities during the global event. “The PGE will not stop. We published an ordinance regarding the institution's working hours, as a way to ensure the full functioning of activities and compliance with procedural and administrative deadlines,” explained the Attorney General of the State, Ana Carolina Gluck Paúl.
The Attorney General added: "The administrative sectors, which do not provide public service, will generally operate remotely. However, we will have in-person service in the sectors that provide direct assistance to citizens,” said Gluck Paúl.
According to Ordinance No. 18/2025-PGE.G, the administrative units of the PGE will organize their activities prioritizing remote work. The institution's office, however, will ensure the presence of team members on a rotating schedule.
Public Service – The Health Demand Resolution Chamber (CRDS), which operates in the annex building of the PGE, will normally provide its services with in-person assistance, except on November 6 and 7, due to the holiday. The space is a major partnership between PGE, the State Health Department (Sespa), the Municipal Health Department (Sesma), the Public Ministry of Pará (MPPA), the Court of Justice of Pará (TJPA), the State Public Defender's Office (DPE), and the Federal Public Defender's Office (DPU), aimed at expediting access for users of the Unified Health System (SUS) to exams, consultations, hospitalizations, transfers, and other health procedures, avoiding the judicialization of demands in the area.
Similarly, the Chamber of Negotiation, Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration (PCAM) will continue to provide in-person service, while also maintaining remote service via phone and email. The location has streamlined access to legal demands involving the state government and ensured a more effective response to citizens.
The PGE Citizen Service (SAC/PGE), which is currently the entry point for the public and centralizes assistance regarding judicial processes, administrative matters, precatories, among others, will be available in person, with staff working on a rotating basis, while continuing virtual assistance via phone and email.
