The State Department of Education (Seduc) has been developing, through the Undersecretary of Basic Education (Saeb), strategic actions focused on advancing education in the Pará education network. One of these initiatives is the “Caravana Saeb 2025,” a training aimed at the leadership of the Regional Education Directorates (DREs) and management teams of state schools, which aims to qualify educators with an emphasis on preparation for the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) 2025, aiming to improve the academic performance of students.

This week, the training arrived in the Carajás Integration Region, in southeastern Pará, and brought together leaders, pedagogical teams, directors, and vice-directors of 98 schools from 17 municipalities that make up the Regional Education Directorates (DREs) of Marabá and Parauapebas.

“The Caravana is an active listening, but also a provocation for each network to think about concrete, realistic, and transformative solutions to improve the performance of their schools and is part of the strategic planning of the secretary, where the entire pedagogical team is traveling through the Regional Directorates so that we can discuss the peculiarities and realities of each region and, thus, address each director about the challenges, listen to them about the practices being implemented and, at the same time, present the action plan of the secretary for the 2025 exercise focused on the recomposition of learning, with a focus on improving results in the Saeb,” highlighted the Undersecretary of Basic Education (Saeb), Júlio Meireles.

Marabá - In Marabá, the Caravana Saeb 2025 took place on Tuesday (13) and was marked by intense dialogue about the directions of basic education with the 72 school units from the 13 municipalities linked to the DRE. Throughout the day, participants immersed themselves in analyses of educational indicators, heard reports of successful practices in various schools in the region, and exchanged experiences on management and pedagogical strategies. The proposal is clear: to collectively build paths to raise learning indices and ensure that each student is, in fact, learning.

“The Caravana Saeb is more than an event. It is a collective commitment to the quality of public education. By bringing together our school leaders, we reaffirm that the protagonism of schools begins with listening, planning, and strategic action. We are in motion because we believe in the transformative power of learning with focus and purpose,” stated Magno Barros, head of the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) of Marabá.

Parauapebas - In the municipality of Parauapebas, the training took place on Wednesday (14) and brought together all 26 schools from the four municipalities that make up the DRE. For the manager of the State High School Janelas Para o Mundo, Nelma Vasconcelos, the initiative is essential to engage the school community.

“We face many challenges in our routine and often feel demotivated. The Caravana Saeb 2025 arrived in Parauapebas with the aim of creating a culture of collaboration and recognition of school managers, highlighting the importance of assessment for the quality of education and the development of students, all in a light and welcoming manner, revitalizing the strengths of all managers present at the meeting. I am fully confident that this initiative will help us a lot to achieve positive results and bring many advances to Pará's education in external assessments,” commented the director.

During the training, the technical team from Seduc also presented monitoring tools, guidelines on the pedagogical use of assessment results, and reinforced the importance of maintaining high student participation rates in the tests. As emphasized by the director of Training (Difor) of Seduc, Raimundo Corrêa.

“The Caravana Saeb 2025 aims to qualify our DRE technicians and school directors with a focus on improving student learning. The actions in the municipalities that make up the DREs of Marabá and Parauapebas constitute an important formative moment of mobilization and inspiration for the improvement of education throughout Pará, involving all schools in the state network. Thus, Seduc goes to our municipalities to actively listen and personally talk with technical teams and school directors based on their results and understanding the realities of their territories, establishing strategies for strengthening management, recomposition, and improvement of learning focused on Saeb 2025,” he explained.
