Sefa seizes air conditioning equipment and mobile phones

During an inspection carried out on Thursday, the 5th, 24 units of hospital fan heaters, equipment for air conditioning systems, were seized. The total value of the goods is R$ 276,273.96. The seizure occurred at the São Geraldo do Araguaia tax post, in southeastern Pará, when a vehicle coming from Curitiba-PR heading to Marabá was approached, and it was carried out by state revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Araguaia.

“After the document analysis, it was found that the taxpayer paid a lower amount regarding the Differential Rate of ICMS (Difal), resulting from the difference between internal and interstate rates, intended for the final consumer,” explained the coordinator of the tax unit, Cicinato Oliveira.

A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, the total value of which includes ICMS and fines, amounting to R$ 46,414.03, which was paid and the goods were released.

Mobile Phones – Also at the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Araguaia, on the same day, state revenue inspectors seized a suitcase containing 10 mobile phones, 54 mobile phone cables, eight thermal cups, TV remotes, memory cards, and two external hard drives, with a total value of the goods without a fiscal document amounting to R$ 113,833.80.

“The driver of an interstate bus coming from Goiânia-GO heading to several municipalities in Pará presented some invoices, and the inspection requested verification in the vehicle, when the suitcase with the goods without an invoice was located,” said the coordinator, Renato Couto.

Two Seizure and Deposit Terms (TADs) were drawn up, one for the mobile phones and another for the accessories, with a total value of R$ 38,931.15, referring to the tax and fine, which amounts were collected and the goods were released.
