Teachers and students from the Hospital and Home Educational Care (AEHD), from the State Department of Education (Seduc), visited the Innovation and Sustainability Center for Basic Education (Ciseb) to learn about technological resources aimed at the development of robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and sustainability.

The program serves students from Elementary and High School who are temporarily unable to attend regular school due to health treatments. Activities are carried out in hospitals and through home care, in order to ensure the continuity of their school life.

The group met nationally awarded teams that shared impactful social projects and research developed in the Amazon. On this Monday (22), the first experience with students from the hospital class at João de Barros Barreto Hospital was held. From now on, every Tuesday they will receive mentoring at Ciseb.

Teacher Eunice Cajango from the Hospital Class highlighted that "it was a unique opportunity for our students to reflect on accessibility and innovation, broadening horizons for a more inclusive and sustainable future."

Regularity - The AEHD is linked to the Special Education Coordination (Coees). Conducted in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa), it provides education for children, adolescents, and adults undergoing health treatment in hospitals, shelters, and support houses, ensuring the continuity of studies and school reintegration. The service covers all subjects of the regular curriculum of Seduc, with pedagogical adaptations according to the individual needs of each student.

The director of Innovation at Ciseb, Rafael Herdy, explained that through these programs, the Department reinforces its commitment to inclusion. "It is a great joy to enable students undergoing health treatment to access the experiences of Ciseb. Each visit reinforces our commitment that technology should be, above all, a bridge to inclusion, creativity, and hope," emphasized Rafael Herdy.

The experience was also marked by the impressions of the students. Emanuelle, 9 years old, said she liked getting to know Ciseb. According to her, "what I liked the most was the robotics part. I recommend everyone to visit; it is a very good experience."

Enilson Marques, 20 years old, highlighted the novelty of learning. "I didn't know this place and had the pleasure of visiting. It is educational, different, wonderful, a great opportunity for knowledge," he emphasized.
