Sefa inspectors seize a box-type trailer valued at R$ 2.2 million
20 electrical distribution panels valued at over R$ 895 thousand were also seized
Inspectors from the Secretary of Finance of Pará (Sefa) seized on Friday (24), a box-type trailer valued at R$ 2,217,500.00, which left Colombo (PR) heading to Belém (PA). A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued, amounting to R$ 459,925.93, corresponding to the tax and fine. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit of Itinga, in Dom Eliseu, northeastern Pará.
“The goods are intended for a legal entity that is not an ICMS taxpayer. The payment regarding the Differential Rate (Difal) due in case of sale to a non-taxpayer was not found,” informed coordinator Rafael Brasil.
Electrical panels - Inspectors from the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit in Gurupi, in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, seized on Thursday (23), 20 electrical distribution panels valued at R$ 895,066.29. The cargo was being transported in a truck that left the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) heading to Belém (PA).
“During the physical verification of the cargo, the inspectors found that the equipment was intended for a final consumer who is not a taxpayer of the tax, which requires the advance collection of the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS), according to the legislation,” explained coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
The payment of the tax, which should have been collected at the beginning of the operation to the State of Pará, was not found. The goods were retained and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued for the collection of the tax and the fine, amounting to R$ 161,508.76.
