Training values the role of trainers in preparation for Saeb 2025
Meeting promoted by Seduc brings together educators from various regions of Pará and strengthens the commitment to quality public education

With the commitment to enhance teaching practice and promote more meaningful learning, teacher trainers from the state network began, this Tuesday (17), a training focused on the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) 2025. Promoted by the State Department of Education (Seduc), the meeting brings together educators from the areas of Languages, Mathematics, Human Sciences, and Natural Sciences who work in the Training Centers of the Regional Education Directorates (DREs) and in the Directorate of Training of Basic Education Professionals of Pará (Difor).
The interim secretary of Seduc, Ricardo Sefer, participated in the meeting to welcome educators and strengthen the dialogue with professionals who work directly in the qualification of state education. During the event, he reinforced the importance of collective work and valued the efforts of the teams involved in the process.
“I want us to give our best for the education of this state together. I feel a huge desire to get it right, to value, and to do it well, always seeking the best. I believe that the great challenge for all of us is to be better today than we were yesterday, and better tomorrow than we are today. This is the intention I want to sow while I am here with the teams. Let’s seek new ideas, explore alternatives, be creative and intelligent, bringing this attitude to all the functions we perform,” highlighted Ricardo Sefer.
More than preparing for an external assessment, the training values the strategic role of these professionals in the recomposition of learning and in direct support to the schools of the state network. The goal is for the Training Centers to act as multipliers, passing on the training to the teachers of the Saeb classes in each municipality.

“The most interesting thing about this training is precisely to present specific material for Natural Sciences, making a bridge with the priority descriptors of Portuguese Language and Mathematics. This integration is an innovation and will help us a lot, contributing to the development of our students' skills and to a good performance in the Saeb assessment,” stated Arimateia Santos, trainer from DRE Belém 01.
The program was organized in two moments: in the morning of the 17th, activities took place in the auditorium of Seduc; and in the afternoon and throughout the day of the 18th, the work continues at Difor.

“I have very positive expectations because, to improve education and raise the indices, we need to appropriate knowledge. My team and I faced challenges to be here, we came from Xinguara, and we know it will be worth it. We will leave with information to help other teachers, and that is what really matters. We need to align objectives and share knowledge to move forward, because despite the good results, we want to go further, always focusing on the student,” emphasized Luciene Sousa, trainer from DRE Xinguara.
Saeb Caravan - The training is also part of the Saeb Caravan, an initiative by Seduc that has strengthened the support network for teachers of the evaluated classes. In addition to technical training, the Caravan addresses essential themes, such as analysis of educational results, strategies to improve student proficiency, and optimization of school flow.
On June 18, the program continues to the Regional Directorates of Benevides and Santa Bárbara.

“With the Saeb Caravan, we have already reached almost 78% of the directors, with little left to cover all regions. Now, our focus is to ensure the correct use of the teaching material provided by the Secretary. This is the moment to collectively build actions that will lead Pará to continue advancing in large-scale assessments,” stated Júlio Meireles, deputy secretary of Basic Education at Seduc.
By investing in trainers, Seduc reaffirms its commitment to quality public education, centered on the right of all students to learn.
